Chip Hazard: Hardware Hacking
November 22, 2018 @ 4:00 am - 6:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 4:00am on Thursday, repeating until December 13, 2018
Ever want to learn how circuit boards are made? Have an idea for a gadget that doesn’t exist yet? Want to gain new valuable skills that NZ tech companies desperately need? This 10 week course is for you!
Create anything you want. Whether it’s something musical or artistic, scientific or silly, practical or paradoxical. Anything that requires a piece of hardware to run on. Or if you’re more interested in the software side of things, please join up and help write code for one of the projects.
You could create something just as a small personal project or create a prototype for a business venture.
This is a class that aims to give the knowledge and skills to commence your own path of electronic hardware development. Projects can be either focused on prototyping your existing ideas or just learning the skills you need to get started. It seeks to clarify the process of designing and assembling circuit boards, through to more complex topics if required.
This is an incredible opportunity to learn from Lee Nicolson, a local hardware enthusiast and passionate community builder.
Free for anyone 18-24 years of age (younger people will be considered, please contact us).
