Pink Youth Ball

September 8 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Dunedin Pride is pleased to announce our first ever Pink Youth Ball for the Otago region. The ball is for LGBTIQA+ high school students from ages of 13 – 18years old. The ball is on the 8th September, at the Otago Museum. The theme is Outer Space Rainbows.

Tee Bouttier-Esprit, the youth ball co-ordinator for Dunedin Pride, explains the goal of the youth ball is to create a safe, affirming space so young people in the queer community can
celebrate themselves and have a fun night. He is encouraging the wider Dunedin community to support the ball by donating the cost of a ticket for a young person. The ticket donation scheme means that young people who usually couldn’t afford to go to the ball can come along and be part of a fun community event.

Tee encourages parents and caregivers to come along for the first hour to support their young people. There are limited tickets for the first hour for parents/caregivers which include a cup of tea and an opportunity to meet with the organisers and members of Dunedin Pride Inc.

Tickets and donations are available on Eventbrite.co.nz. Dunedin Pride Inc would like to thank Ending HIV, Otago Community Trust, DCC and Gravity Events for their support.
